Our Purpose

To raise significant funds so that Immaculate Conception School and Immaculata High School can offer need-based tuition assistance to current and incoming qualified students.

Our Goal

Funds raised from this event will be used for need-based tuition assistance for those seeking an education at either Immaculate Conception School or Immaculata High School. In doing this, we honor the legacy of our pastor emeritus, Msgr. J. Nevin Kennedy who believed that no one should be denied a Catholic education because of financial need.

 Our Cause

To invite, inspire and challenge alumni, school families past and present, parishioners and members of the community to rally behind this event so that sufficient funds can be raised to offer need-based tuition assistance. An endowment fund has also been created for both schools to ensure significant monies will be available in the future.

 Our Case

Immaculate Conception School and Immaculata High School depend on tuition to help support operating costs and salaries. Contrary to some perceptions, there is still a great need for financial support even though Immaculate Conception Parish received a multi-million dollar gift several years ago. The gift money was used wisely to pay for school construction costs to avoid incurring debt. The remainder was invested and the principle cannot be used. Monies are still needed for salaries, medical benefits, operating costs, and most of all, need-based tuition assistance.

For many years, tuition at both schools remained low compared to other area Catholic schools, making a Catholic education at Immaculate Conception School and Immaculata High School more affordable for those who desired this opportunity. However, the past few years brought required and significant tuition increases in order to fund much-needed salary increases for faculty. With the decrease in religious vocations, the presence of the IHM Sisters is diminishing. This means that we need to continue to hire highly qualified lay faculty educators, offering them competitive salaries.
